The Process

Intake Forms + Interview questions:

I ask you to fill out an intake form before your session and then ask preliminary questions to determine your overall health along with your desired results from massage therapy.

I Will:

Assess your needs and explore your motivation in getting massage, including your health goals

Consider information about your physical condition, medical history, lifestyle, stress levels and any areas of physical pain

Use this information to structure the session to achieve your desired results

2.  Removing Clothing (Exception: See Chair Massage below)

Before your massage begins, I'll ask you to remove clothing according to your level of comfort

I leave the room while you undress and remove any jewelry or other articles that might interfere with your massage

(Keep in mind as you undress, that your massage will be most effective when your skin can be easily reached by the therapist)

Lay on the massage table, underneath the sheet or towel (provided), which covers your body except for the body part or parts being massaged.

The Massage Table

You'll lay on a comfortably upholstered and padded massage table which may have extra attachments or cushions, such as a face rest, allowing you to lie face down without turning your head or neck

The Environment

Expect a peaceful and comfortable environment

You may listen to music or not

You may bring or use  your own music

The Massage

The massage technique or modality used depends on your intake

Therapists use creams, oils or gels on their clients

I use Vegan massage cream for my work

We work together to create your desired massage

Ask questions before, during and after the massage

A typical massage lasts between 30 and 90 minutes

The End of the Massage

Get up slowly, get dressed and open the door to the office

I'll be waiting with a glass of water

Chair Massage

Chair massages provide immediate access to massage in public spaces and workplaces. A specially-designed massage chair supports the front of the body and legs allowing neck shoulder, back, arm and hand massage. You remain clothed and very little oil or lotion is used. Seated massages typically last from 10 to 30 minutes.
